Event Report
The Eau Claire Plaza in downtown Calgary was a great venue for heavy foot traffic from the general public enjoying the river pathway system on a beautiful fall day. We had 40 cars registered and squeezed in another 10 to fill the plaza and with wide aisles for people to mill about. One of the sponsors said that, of the people that had dropped by his stand with questions, it was a rough 50/50 mix of EV enthusiasts and people entirely new to EVs.

Event Description
On September 15, 2019 the Electric Vehicle Association of Alberta (EVAA) will be hosting a NDEW Show-and-Shine event in Calgary at the Festival Market in Eau Claire, between Eau Claire Market and the YMCA. The venue is along the Bow River Parkway system, so it is a great place to bring the family, go for a walk, and check out some cool tech.
Sponsors include SkyFire Energy, who will have their Tesla Model X charging off of its solar-panel trailer, Go Electric, who sells a variety of used electric vehicles and can help you with the EV conversion of your classic car, and The City of Calgary, which has supported EV driving with chargers in their public parkades.
We will have a wide range of electric vehicles and their diverse owners who are keen to answer questions about driving electric.
