National Drive Electric Week Event – Memphis

The weather was perfect. Some clouds without any rain appeared which provided relief from the rather strong heat wave. We had a crowd of almost 50 people attending the event.
There was a good mix of people interested in electric vehicles as well as existing electric vehicle owners to show and provide test drives. Jim Kerras’ Nissan was kind enough to loan us a new Leaf and a mock up charging station.
City Captain, Joe Ozegovich, gave a presentation as part of the Sierra Club Chickasaw Group monthly program, and was followed by a viewing of the EV’s outside for show and rides.
9 Electric vehicles were available to show and ride.

Event Description
It's Shocking what you can do without fossil fuels! This event will be hosted by the Sierra Club for their September Program.
An indoor presentation on Electric Vehicles will be followed by a showing and rides of some of the vehicles.
