Event Report

At this year's event, we had about 100 people in attendance, including interested public, volunteers, EV owners, and local officials. There were 19 electric vehicles present, and lots of folks participated in ride-alongs to get a better feel for what it means to drive electric. HeatSmart CNY and their partner installers were present, as was OCRRA, Alliance for a Green Economy, Clean Communities of CNY, and National Grid. Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh, CNY Regional Director for National Grid Customer and Community Management Alberto Bianchetti, and Energy Program Manager for the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board Chris Carrick provided opening remarks at the event, and Syracuse Common Councilor Joe Driscoll played live music during the event.
