Event Report
The event when really well. It was hosted by the Chatham Borough Environmental Commission, and the success should make it an annual event. The NJ DEP also contacted us before the event to inquire about it, and stopped by for a little. I didn't keep an accurate count of the number of people who stopped by other than those that registered. I also had to leave the event for 60 to 90 minutes to coach my daughter's soccer game. But there were at least 10 EVs there and at least 2x the number of interested people stopped by for information about EVs, many of who seemed persuaded that an EV should at least be among the cars they look at when buying a new one. And I'm likely under estimating the number of non-owners who showed up. Our event was helped by the fact that it was part of the annual Chatham Borough Sustainability Fair and the weekly Farmer's Market, which both took place in the same parking lot. Sorry the photo couldn't be better. It was taken at the very end of the event. I was so busy talking to non-owners that taking a picture in the middle of the event totally slipped my mind.

Event Description
An opportunity to learn all about Electric Cars in one place. Talk to owners about how much fun they are to drive, how little they cost to run, why we all have a big grin on our faces when we drive them, and all the ways they've improved our lives ... like always leaving home with a full "tank" of fuel!
If you're an owner; join in, we'd love to have you there! Park with us, share your experiences with fellow owners, and help educate and influence a new crop of future EV owners and enthusiasts. Come whenever you want and stay as long as you want. The more the merrier!
The event is in conjunction with the annual Chatham Sustainability Fair and in the same parking lot as the weekly Chatham Farmer's Market. So there are plenty of other things to see and do even after the event or if you want a break from standing around your car.
Parking will likely be on the west side of the south parking lot, just look for the blue Nissan LEAF, the black Tesla Model S, or the red Tesla Model 3. You can enter the south parking lot at the train station from the east side on Fairmount Avenue, or on the west side via Front Street (turn onto Washington Street from Main Street and make your first left after going under the train tracks).
Our event is brought to you by the Chatham Borough Environmental Commission and the Chatham Borough Green Team.
