The East Hampton and Portland Clean Energy Task Forces are organizing the Second Annual “Electric Car Show” on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Sears Park from 12 noon to 4 pm (Rain Date is Sunday, September 9th). Come join us at Lake Pocotopaug as they showcase electric and hybrid cars from various dealerships including Chevrolet, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, BMW and more.

            The Clean Energy Task Forces are volunteer committees dedicated to promoting green energy alternatives in their towns.  The event is also sponsored by the East Hampton Parks and Recreation Dept.

The Task Forces are also inviting any town residents who own an electric or hybrid vehicle to show off their clean energy machine too. There is no registration fee, but the deadline to register your vehicle for the show is Friday, August 24. Town residents are also invited to show off other vehicles too, not just cars – bikes, scooters or anything that moves are all welcome!

Registration is also open, at no charge, to any town groups, non-profits, associations or clubs that would like to have a booth at the show to educate and inform the town about yourself. It’s a terrific way to let people know more about you while we all learn more about electric and hybrid vehicles and have some fun down at the lake! We’ll have music, raffles, and food, provided by the Dublin Beef & Seafood Co., too!
