Event Report

We had another strong showing in Wilsonville this year. The PGE Electric Test Drive with free entries into the OEVA raffle for $5K generated a lot of interest and got people test driving a wide variety of vehicles. Wilsonville Mayor Tim Knapp spoke to the crowd for a few minutes before reaching into the drum to draw the winning ticket. The lucky winners were Clayre and Marc Thompson, and the $5K is being applied towards a pre-owned Nissan LEAF. Congratulations and glad we could help get you into your first EV!
Another highlight was the Jaguar I-Pace prototype on display. Though not available for test drives, people were able to get a first hand look.
The Oregon EV Rebate overview session with the Q&A following was well attended. Though no rebates have yet been issued, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Test drives were provided by Tonkin Nissan (2018 LEAF), Wilsonville Chevrolet (Bolt EV and Volt), Wilsonville Honda (Clarity PHEV), FORTH (Clarity Electric), BMW Portland (i3), Beaverton Kia (Niro Plug-in), Mini of Portland (Countryman PHEV), Gladstone Mitsubishi (Outlander PHEV) and Wilsonville Chrysler Jeep Ram (Pacifica Hybrid). Wilsonville Audi had an A3 e tron on display and Wilsonville Toyota provided a Prius Prime.
We worked to highlight the affordability of used vehicles, with Platt Auto providing test drives on pre-owned vehicles like the Nissan LEAF, Kia Soul EV, and Chevrolet Spark EV. The ability to use the "Charge Ahead" Oregon rebate on those pre-owned vehicles drew plenty of interest.
We also had a very strong owner turnout, with a wide variety of models on display. Ride and drives were offered by some owners, and a few attendees were able to take a short test drive in a Model 3!

Event Schedule:
Event hours 10 AM to 3 PM

11:00 AM to 2:00 PM - Fancy Faces by Amy (free face painting)
1:00 PM - Overview of the Oregon EV Rebate and Charge Ahead programs, followed by a Q&A session
2:30 PM - A few words from PGE, then Wilsonville Mayor Tim Knapp will draw the $5,000 winning ticket in the OEVA & PGE Electric Test Drive Raffle.
2:45 PM - Drawing for the 3-day Extended Test Drive of a Tesla Model S (subject to availability and restrictions) courtesy of Platt Auto.

The OEVA Portland Area NDEW event is returning to Wilsonville this year. We'll be at the same location as 2016 in the former Albertson's parking lot (between Sonic and Starbucks).

Once you get to the event, here is the planned site layout. Please respect the reserved Starbucks parking as they were kind enough to share their space with us. Saturday is a busy day for them and we don't want to negatively impact their business.
