Event Report
We were very disappointed in the interest by the auto dealers. We had 3 individuals show up with their personal vehicles (Tesla Model X, Tesla Model S and BMW X5 Hybrid). We visited all the local dealerships and reached out to the national contacts for Chevrolet, Ford and BMW provided by NDEW. Only the local Toyota dealership showed up with a Prius for the event. The other local dealerships had no interest in electric/hybrid vehicles and the national Chevrolet and Ford contacts did not return phone or email messages. The national BMW contact did respond but simply forwarded the event info to a dealership in the area which did not contact us or participate. The most disappointing factor was the local dealership for the national PLATINUM SPONSOR of this event (NISSAN) had no knowledge of the event when we met with them and had no interest in having a presence. It is still very clear the major auto manufacturers have no interest in promoting electric and hybrid vehicles.
Event Description
Celebrate Electric Cars in Hattiesburg
Come see and ask questions regarding ownership of electric vehicles. EV owners will be available to discuss their experiences and showcase their electric vehicles.
