Event Report
We held events at the Whangarei Farmers Market and an After 5 talk at the Northland Regional Council (the Environment Agency for Northland), Both Saturdays the weather was rainy, our typical Southern Hemisphere winter.
Sept 9 & 16th @ the Whangarei Growers Market which attracts approximately 5,000 people: The biggest weekly event in Whangarei.
We had the Renault Zoe, Hyundai IONIQ and Nissan LEAF on display at the market and spoke to about 50 people each day. From that event we have been invited to speak 3 additional events, one at the Whangarei Rotary South Club (43 members and guests in attendance), Uni 3 (University for seniors 8 Students in attendance) and Automobile Club of New Zealand (14 members in attendance).
At each event we gave test rides before the meeting and then a presentation for the meeting.
Event Description
Friday 8 & 9 September – EV World – Vodafone Event Center in Auckland - https://www.conferenz.co.nz/events/evworld-nz
Friday 9-18 September – EV Display at Forum North foyer – Showing “Charging up North” Channel North Documentary on Electric Vehicle adoption in Northland . We will also be showing “Who Killed the Electric Car” along with other informative EV videos. There will be an EV on display, along with static displays and poster boards with information on benefits of driving electric.
Saturday 9 September – Whangarei Growers Market – EV display and test rides
Wednesday 13 September – After 5 event - 17:30 (we wanted to invite the Car dealers, IC Motors, Kia, Pacific Motors, Cash Back Cars etc. to give a 10 talk and bring cars to promote). Venue to be determined.
