National Drive Electric Week
EVs for EVV 2023 (National Drive Electric Week)
Evansville, IN
Sep 23, 2023
Day: | Saturday, September 23, 2023 |
Time: | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm CDT |
Location: | Eykamp Scout Center 3501 E. Lloyd Expressway Evansville, IN 47715 |
Eykamp Scout Center provides a beautiful, park-like 10-acre setting for this 2nd annual EVs for EVV, which will be held Sat., Sept. 23, 2023, from 10am - 2pm CT. EVs and electric bikes will all be parked together, adjacent to the Conference Center, with parking for the disabled and elderly across the street, and general public parking in the city lot down the hill. Vendors will be situated not far from the Conference Center. Follow signs. Vendors -- handmade jewelry, woodcarving, chair massage, etc. -- should provide entertainment for the whole family. We are hoping to have a presenter to discuss the specifics of converting an internal combustion engine to an EV, but that has not yet been firmed up. Participating EVs will be both owner-operated and from auto dealers. We anticipate there will be electric cars, trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. Some EVs will simply be for display in typical cruise-in fashion, but we are hoping some owners will again allow members of the public to either ride in or drive the EVs. The event is still being hosted by the nonprofit Tri-State Creation Care. Although there's no fee for vendors or attendees, it is suggested that those who participate in ride-alongs or test drives consider a donation to TSCC. Unique artist-designed trophies will be given for Best of Show and People’s Choice awards. Closer to time, access https://www.facebook.com/events/437286108341682 for more details, such as who the Celebrity Drivers will be this year and exactly what vendors, food trucks, sponsors, and EVs will be participating.
