Event Report
Hosted by the Blue Ridge EV Club, this was the 9th annual Asheville Drive Electric Event, 8th at the Asheville Outlets. In addition to the Outlets the event was supported by Sugar Hollow Solar, Asheville Flying Bike, Land of Sky Clean Vehicles Coalition, Green Planet Machinery, Asheville E-Bikes, Mobile Microgrid, UNC-Asheville SAE students, Parks Ford, WNC Tesla, Asheville Citizen's Climate Lobby, and Earthshine Nature. Each sponsor had speakers talking about their various programs . In addition Sugar Hollow Solar, in collaboration with Asheville Flying Bike gave away an E-Bike in a drawing at the event!The EVs present were:
Teslas, 3, S and X; Chevy Sparks, Bolts and Volts; Nissan Leafs, old and new; Kia EV6s, Niro EVs and PHEVs; Hyundai Ioniq 5; Rivian R1T; Smart for Two; Audi E-Tron; BMW X3 and I3s; Chrysler Pacifica; Ford CMax Energies, Mach-Es, and F-150 Lightnings; VW ID4; Mini E-Cooper; Volvo XC4- Recharge, plus E-Scooters and many E-Bikes.
The show was divided into 3 areas for EV displays, Vendors and E-Bikes and the Ride Area. There were close to 500 attendees with over 80 EV rides given. Of special note was attendee NC Senator Julie Mayfield. To date this electric event has been the most successful drawing the attention of the local news channel:

Event Description
Come out to Asheville's 9th Fall Drive Electric Event presented by the Asheville Outlets and Blue Ridge EV Club on September 25th from noon to 4pm.
On display will be a variety of EVs, e-bikes, electric mopeds, scooters, solar, and more...
