Event ReportFor outreach we prepared and distributed a press release, mailed over1800 post cards to residents, placed 70 yard signs around the neighborhood the week before and managed an aggressive online campaign on Facebook, Google and Nextdoor. We had visibility on 5 websites some local and some national.
We made the most out of the space that we were allowed to use and with the budget. We had eight electric vehicles on display, Lime was also there allowing free rides on their e-scooters and e-bikes. They seemed to be popular amongst younger people. Having an Xcel energy rep onsite was also great. She stayed busy explaining the incentives. Very helpful and informative.
Overall, I think it was a very good event. Repeatedly, we heard phrases like, "I didn't know "x brand" had an EV." "I love the look of that car." And "This is such a good idea to be able to see the options."
