Event Report

Our EV Fair was held at the Lake Oswego United Methodist Church on Saturday, October 2 from 10 am to 2 pm.

We had 30 owner EVs on display ranging from Chevy Spark and original Tesla Roadster up to the new Polestar 2 and Ford Mach E. In addition there was a display of electric bikes with a bike dealer offering an opportunity to try them out on the local hilly terrain.

Seven dealers were there some of whom had to borrow EVs from their customers to insure they had something to display. In addition Arcimoto came up from Eugene, Oregon with four of the their Fun Utility Vehicles available for test rides.

We originally had registration from 200 attendees but concluded later that the actual attendance was at least 400 people.

The feedback we received was exceedingly positive. Many said that our EV Fair helped them move closer to purchasing an EV. The dealers were particularly pleased and want to come back again next year. We have been penciled in by the church to return on October 1, 2022

Event Description

NOTE: Our space to display EV Owner vehicles is now full.  We would love to have you attend our event as an attendee but please don't expect to display your EV.

The electric vehicle (EV) market is taking off and Lake Oswego is a hot bed of activity. Total EV registrations in Lake Oswego grew by more than 50% last year making Lake Oswego one of the highest EV adopting communities in Oregon on a per capita basis.

So come see for yourself which EVs might be right for you by attending our fourth annual EV event!

Visit with local EV owners to see what they are driving and what their experience has been. Ask them why they bought an EV and what advice would they give a prospective EV buyer.

We have also invited a dozen dealers to attend all of whom say they will be there depending on what they have in stock at the time. Fortunately the dealers with the two hottest new EVs, the Ford Mach E and Volkswagen i4, are making a special effort to have those models available. So bring your driver’s license and auto insurance card and you can probably take one out for a test drive.

In addition we will have an array of electric bikes and the possibility of an electric school bus.

So we hope to see you there. Take a moment to RSVP, complete a short survey, and qualify for a chance to win a $250 VISA gift card.
