Event Report

This year, we held a virtual lunch and learn for anyone interested in electric vehicles. It was moderated by Adriane Jaynes, the Tulsa Area Clean Cities coordinator. She presented an EV 101 presentation, an introduction to different types of plug-in vehicles, charging, and benefits of driving electric. Then we heard from Dirk Spiers, the founder and CEO of Spiers New Technologies, an EV battery recycling and refurbishing company based in Oklahoma City, who presented on battery technology. Finally, we had a panel of EV drivers based in Tulsa, and did an open ended Q&A with participants. This discussed an array of topics from range anxiety, at home charging, weather impacts on range, maintenance and electricity costs, etc.

We also distributed Drive Electric Oklahoma t-shirts to participating dealerships in the Tulsa and OKC areas. We sent participants to the dealers for EV test drives over the weekend, and anyone that did a test drive received a t-shirt. We do not have test drive data from dealers at this time.

Here is the recording of our event.
