Event Report
The 5th Annual Sechelt Electric Vehicle Festival attracted a great crowd of 75 engaged owners, dealers and enthusiasts of many types of EV's, a few of whom were very generous in providing ridealongs.We also welcomed several community organizations advocating for solar energy, climate awareness, girl guides and affordable housing. We also provided a family friendly environment this year, with facepainting, a bouncy castle, live music and tasty food.
We had a great turnout of about 800 people on our new venue - a grassy playing field - that worked out great given no one was worried about leaking gasoline or oil on the grass! We were pleased to hear that our dealer / exhibitors were successful in selling several units - of automobiles and e-bikers (and perhaps a e-motorcyle of two!) And many of our exhibitors left with smiles on their faces having spent all day talking to future EV owners.
