Event Report

Lots of elected officials, since we "run in packs"! My self "City Captain" Dick Muri, 28th District State Representative (2013 Nissan LEAF), Judges Grant Blinn and Dave Larson (2014 Ford Fusion Energi), Judge candidate Tim Ashcraft, Town of Steilacoom Council members Pete Franklin and Nancy Henderson (2015 Ford C-MAX Energi), Pierce County Councilman Doug Richardson, County Council candidate Kit Burns, and Steilacoom School Board Director Don Denning (2013 Nissan LEAF), Carol Paschal (Parks Commissioner). We met for 30 minutes in parking lot, most participated in group photo, and then a pot luck and discussion for 90 minutes at the beach pavilion. 4 local car dealers were represented, and Western Region Nissan rep Mike Luttinen.

Event Description

Venue will be the same as last year.  We will all assemble in the Sunnyside Beach parking lot starting at Noon for a group vehicle and people picture at 12:15 PM.   A few rides will be offered.  From 12:30 to 12:45 PM, we will all walk (150 yards) to the Sunnyside Beach Pavilion for a pot luck picnic.  We will be welcomed by Pierce County Councilman Doug Richardson, and Town Councilman Nancy Henderson.  We will have some food, and then a series of 3 minute speeches on our Electric Vehicle experiences.  We should all be done by 2 PM.   This is a pot luck, so bring some food and/or beverages.   I will bring all the necessary condiments, napkins, etc.  Any questions, please feel free to call or text me at 253-439-9797 or email at Dick (at) DickMuri (dot) com
