Electric Vehicle Test Drive & Showcase

The annual electric vehicle showcase is returning for its third year on Sparks Street!
Ottawa EV Day 2015 was all about the chance to experience what it’s like to drive electric in Ottawa.
As our event partner, Plug’n Drive facilitated test drives through the downtown core and along the Ottawa River. Plug’n Drive is a non-profit organization committed to accelerating the adoption of electric cars to maximize their environmental and economic benefits. Around 50 test drives started at Sparks and O’Connor and with passengers, that means even more people got to experience an EV.
The Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa (EVCO) joined us along with other EV owners for an EV Showcase. Getting up close to different EV models and asking questions to local owners is one of the best ways to discover the benefits of driving electric.
The Ottawa Centre EcoDistrict is very excited to bring this event back to Ottawa for a third time, bigger and better than ever! EV Day 2016 will showcase new EVs, highlight new rebates, inform consumers about benefits and also barriers to EV ownership.
Electric cars are not just the way of the future, but the best option for today!
