Wonderful event at the Tesla Motors in Devon, PA. Over 200 attendees. The weather was perfect. Not only did we have all the major dealers there with plug-ins, but we also had electric-assisted bicycles, gourmet organic cupcakes, and Green Mean Products there displaying battery powered landscaping tools and commercial scale riding electric mowers!
We also had solar installers (both Sunpower and Solar City reps), geothermal HVAC, Green Mountain alternative (wind) energy supplier, and Orange Energy Auditors, Tesla Science, and EAA. Notable EVs included early Tesla Roadsters, a signature Model S's, a dealer BMW i8, and both dealer & owner Tesla Model S P90Ds giving "ludicrous mode" rides & drives.
State Senator McGarrigle drove a P90D & a Ford & headed up a power-packed lineup which you can see on our site with topics of clean power plan, power wall, climate change, and even the Pope's recent encyclical. https://vimeo.com/140142630

**FREE TO THE PUBLIC**
And in addition to a chance to drive the uncompromising Tesla Motors Model S EV or the sporty BMW i3 EV,
And put the pedal to the metal of the sexy and practical Porsche Panamera and Cayenne P/H/EVs,
You will also get to see the gorgeous BMW i8,
addition to a possible cameo appearance of the outrageous Porsche 918 Spyder PHEV supercar (0-60 in a screaming 2.2 seconds!): What do you say when you see a Spyder - "Step on it!!"
And of course, there will be Ford's Fusion, Focus, and Energi line of PH/EVs to test drive:
And, we wouldn't be SMART if we didn't showcase a SMART Electric FourTwo, or two:
Or the world's most popular EV, the Nissan Leaf, or the PHEV version of the utility Prius Hybrid
Plus, Electric Cycles of all sorts!
And see the award winning University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) Electric Racer (REV1
), which took first place among electrics overall at the recent Formula SAE race, winning seven of the
eight categories. These included overall design, cornering, endurance
and time-trials on a full racetrack. The acceleration test was one of
the team’s strongest suits; beyond taking first among electrics, REV1
would have beaten all but three of the gas-powered cars
