Event Report
This event was primarly coordinated by Public Service Commissioner Tim Echols and his team to have an EV Corral at the Petit Le Mans race. Clean Cities Georgia supported by recruiting volunteers. This was a smaller corral with only a few people stopping by but had a larger scale of reach since there were many more people at the race itself.Event Description
Jackson EMC, United Consulting, Georgia Power and Cox Automotive is teaming up to bring an EV fan zone to the Petit Le Mans annual race at Road Atlanta. The EV Corral, or fan zone, is right across from the large infield fan zone available to any race attendee. The race activities start Wednesday afternoon, September 28, and conclude with a 10 hour race on Saturday, October 1st.
Volunteer EV Owners needed for the EV Corral, a 30x30 tent across from the food court and Porsche display – so lots of action! Friday & Saturday, Georgia Power will be hosting a 360 photo booth with fun EV slogans – like “I spend my gas money on tacos” or “My next car is an EV!” There will be Hot Wheels tracks and cars for the kids too. PSC Commissioner Tim Echols will be hosting mini-seminars during the short racing breaks.
