Event Report
Green Energy Consumers partnered with Ocean State Clean Cities to host an electric vehicle ride & drive and trunk-or-treat. We were joined by EcoRI and the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (where OSCC is housed.) Families enjoyed the trunk-or-treat with EVs, plus the lawn games, facepainting, free food from Cultro food truck, and of course test -drives from three local dealerships. Cars available for test-drives included a Chevy Bolt, VW ID.4, and Mach-e. Cars participating in the trunk-or-treat included the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Chevy Bolt, Nissan LEAF, MINI electric, and more. Unfortunately, we had to reschedule due to weather and the rain date was on Indigenous People's Day weekend. This led to less folks attending than we would have thought with our marketing efforts. We will host the same event next year because we think it has all the components needed to make it a truly fantastic and well-attended event. We had 10 test-drive waivers, but I expect the total number of test-drives is at least 20 with folks test-driving more than one car. We had to print the surveys for our participants and send them separately to Plug-In America.

Event Description
UPDATE: THE EVENT DATE HAS CHANGED TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8TH DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!
Join Green Energy Consumers Alliance and Ocean State Clean Cities for a fun day learning about EVs in Goddard Park! We will have an EV car show, EV test rides, a trunk or treat and more! If that's not enough to pique your interest, we will have lawn games, food, raffles, face painting, and more to keep you talking about electric cars. Come out to celebrate National Drive Electric Week with us!
