Event Report

This year, we had 771 attendees register, and of those registered, 279 checked in at the event and 42 attendees signed in on-site! We also had 229 vehicles register- the most EVs registered ever for the North Texas NDEW event!  We moved to a new location this year at the REC of Grapevine, which offered shade between parking rows that attendees could mingle around. This venue also allowed for ample parking of a large variety of vehicles, including 25 different EV models!  Attendees were able to experience all shapes, sizes, and price points of EVs.

Talented high schoolers from The Winston School came with their solar-powered car, Lion Electric brought a 40' Electric School bus, and our ride and drive sponsors gave over 80 test drives! We handed out over 300 “rEVolution" NDEW shirts, and had a food truck and popsicle stand for attendees to enjoy while checking out the EVs and visiting with exhibitors. Oncor Electric announced their road rally winners at our event to the drivers who came closest to the designated time. Finally, after the sun had faded, we showed an outdoor film screening of “Revenge of the Electric Car” to participants on the REC turf football field.

Thank you to all our EV owners, volunteers, exhibitors, and staff for making Dallas-Fort Worth NDEW 2021 our best year yet! A special thanks to our sponsors, idrive1 Motorcars, eCarra, North Texas Tesla Owners Group, Oncor, SparkCharge, and the North Texas Electric Auto Association!
