Saving Money with EVs in the California Bay Area!

Join this live presentation with Julia Rivera, Equity Specialist, to learn more about how you may save money with Bay Area local, regional, state, and federal EV incentives. We will be focusing on how low-to-moderate income households can receive additional benefits and stack savings from multiple programs. This presentation will provide a breakdown of incentives to help you maximize your savings when you purchase or lease your very own EV.

Presenters:

Julia Rivera is an Equity Specialist for the Center for Sustainable Energy, working with low to moderate income communities in the Bay Area to increase awareness about the benefits of driving electric. Previously, she was a public service aide for the City and County of San Francisco's Office of Digital Equity, and a martial arts instructor for Fight Syndicate. She holds a B.A. in landscape architecture from the University of California, Berkeley, for which she also competed on the boxing team. After pursuing her different interests, Julia has found her passion in serving hard-to-reach and disadvantaged communities.

Rebecca Fisher is a Program Lead for Outreach and Partnerships at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. Through the Clean Cars for All program, Rebecca works to support a future where all Bay Area residents can participate in the EV revolution. Rebecca was previously a climate finance negotiator in the Obama Administration, representing the US at the Paris, Marrakech, and Bonn UN climate negotiations, as well as the Sustainable Development Goals summits. She holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from Brandeis University and a Master of Environment Economics and Sustainable International Development from Duke University.

Adrian Gomez is the Community Engagement Manager for the Clean Vehicle Assistance Program (CVA Program) at Beneficial State Foundation (BSF). He has been with the CVA Program since April of 2018. As the Community Engagement Manager, Adrian is tasked with finding opportunities to grow support for and awareness of the CVA Program by engaging community allies, governmental agencies, utility providers, car dealerships, and others who are willing to support the clean mobility equity movement. Advancing clean mobility tech and opportunities in disadvantaged, communities of color is one of Adrian’s passions.
