Location: | Jacome Plaza outside the Joel D. Valdez Main Library 101 N Stone Ave Tucson, AZ 85701 |
Come celebrate the benefits of plug-in electric vehicles (EVs) with the people who drive them every day. Learn the latest information about EVs from those who know about the exciting advances. This is the 5th year that the Tucson Electric Vehicle Association (TEVA) has used Jacome Plaza at the Joel Valdez Library for this Drive Electric Week gathering. There will be 8-12 EVs on display in the heart of downtown Tucson. Don’t miss this event!
Registration is FREE to display your EV on the plaza by registering as an attendee and then using the "comments" box to list the year and model of the PEV you want to display.
Volunteer to help with the day’s activities or just sign-up as someone planning to attend the event so you can receive updates on activities scheduled for the event.
At this FREE event, you will be able to speak with the EV owners. These drivers can give you the low down on thousands of miles and many years of EV ownership/driving experiences.
Also, thanks to the very helpful efforts of Green Living Magazine and the Clean Cities Coalition, we will be offering three panel discussions. These will be in the Valdez Library lower meeting room. Each is one hour long and are planned to begin at 10:30am, 11:30am, and 12:30. The first panel will discuss EVs. The second panel will discuss autonomous vehicles. The third panel will discuss EV infrastructure. The panelists will be from the University of Arizona, Pima Association of Governments, local transportation departments, etc. Sign in for attendance will begin soon after the library opens at 9am.
