Event Description
Once again, join the Exeter Energy Committee for an educational event
in the heart of our historic downtown for National Drive Electric Week!!
On Sunday morning, September 15th from 9am to noon (at the town hall and bandstand) local dealerships, including Audi and Honda, will bring their electric vehicles (EV) for free test drives. You are invited to feel the power of an EV for yourself!
In addition, there will be a local EV owners showcase so you can look inside their cars parked at the bandstand, ask questions about their experiences, and see if it is right for you. This year we are featuring only all-electric cars ( sorry, no hybrids). Local EVs will be registered on this page, so you can see what types of EVs should be attending.
Several local dealerships have agreed to bring EV cars to test drive, find the "sign-up" table in the side parking lot of the town hall that day and write your name on the clipboard. Audi will be bringing the 2019 e-tron SUV!
At the event you can also find out about Electric Vehicle Charging (EVC) options, both home and public systems, as well as the committee’s project to help Exeter obtain its very first public EVC.
**New this year - the Energy Committee will host info tables and coffee inside the Exeter Town Hall during the event. **
PS: our downtown location is chock full of coffee shops & eateries, shops & galleries, and has a great literary tradition... so after the event why not spend the afternoon snacking, shopping, and walking the Literary Trail?
