Event Description

The Wild Center is pleased to host an event in coordination with a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today's widespread availability of plug-in vehicles and highlight the benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid-electric cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. Come talk to owners who have successfully made the transition to electric vehicles. Get a up close look at a variety of electric cars and, learn how they operate and what it means to rely on electricity instead of gas for your car. Then take one for a spin and see how they compare to conventional gas powered vehicles. Wild Center staff and volunteers will elaborate on the benefits of reducing your carbon footprint with hands on programming and tours of our Silver LEED Certified building. Also, local municipal leaders will be on hand to detail new electric vehicle charging stations for the Tupper Lake area.
