First Annual New Paltz Zero Emissions Parade and Green Vendor Fair

Saturday September 15th, 2018

This event will showcase the latest technologies that will help us give up our reliance on fossil fuels including electric vehicles and e-bikes. As we march towards a renewable energy future, we would like to come together as a community every year to celebrate the advances that are being made in these technologies.

Our event will begin with a parade at 11:00 am of electric vehicles, e-bikes, traditional bikes, and the activist marching brass band Tin Horn Uprising.  The parade will begin at the New Paltz Middle School and end at the New Paltz Village Hall.  There will also be a children's bicycle decorating contest with prizes.  We will have a Green Vendor Fair from 12:00 to 3:00 pm where there will be opportunities to test drive an electric car or ride in one.   We will have other green venders present including Green Mountain Energies, Dandelion, and many more.

This event is being locally sponsored by New Paltz Climate Smart and New Paltz Climate Action Coalition and is part of National Drive Electric Week.
