Event Report
Another great NDEW event in the books! We moved our NDEW event to a new location on East Foster Street this year which was more centrally located to the annual Victorian Fair and offered space for more cars. Some of the volunteers who brought their EVs this year had been introduced to them at last year's NDEW event which was great to hear. We offered a great variety of plug-ins at our showcase including a Nissan Leaf, Teslas, Bolts, a Volt, a VW, Honda Clarity, and Chrysler Pacifica.
Our local cable access station interviewed some of the EV owners and got some footage of the cars and can be viewed on MMTV3.org in the next few days. In addition, the Melrose Free Press reporter took some photos and interviews which will appear in Thursday's edition on Melrose.WickedLocal.com.
Congresswoman Katherine Clark from Melrose purchased a Bolt this year and stopped by to say hi as well. She has joined our local Melrose Bolt Owners Group which is now up to at least 14 members at last count - and growing! Contact me if you'd like to join our GoogleGroup at mgrover@cityofmelrose.org.
We also had a volunteer from the Drive Green program at the Green Energy Consumers Alliance who was able to provide a lot of great information about dealer discounts, tax incentives, and other ways to save on buying an EV. Thank you Lucy! http://www.greenenergyconsumers.org/drivegreen
Finally, many thanks to the very enthusiastic volunteers and EV owners who participated in this event. I'm convinced that other owners are the best at promoting the benefits of driving electric.

Event Description
Visit the annual Melrose Victorian Fair and see a great selection of hybrid and electric vehicles. Visit the Melrose Energy Commission/NDEW booth on Main Street between Grove and Upham to learn more about EV ownership and benefits!
If you're' bringing your EV for the showcase, approach East Foster Street from Lebanon Street. We'll line the cars up along E. Foster to Dell Avenue.
