Event Report

The Hartford event was a success! Twelve Electric Vehicle owners arrived, nearly all of them stayed for the full 4 hours. The cars are awesome, but, it’s the people attending who are most remarkable, passionate! Owners thrill at having such high performance cars with easy maintenance. They love how EVs have zero emissions. Visitors exploring the event engaged in depth discussion with owners. 12 families wanted to purchase an EV.

No need to wait! Each year, (like cellphones) EVs gain dramatic range improvements. Tesla cars actually send “OS updates” that actually add features. Never before has a tech product gotten better with age! And due to simple mechanics, 3-year old EVs can remain nearly pristine. You can actually power your house from your car. Home Solar charging would make you energy-independent. Hopefully, many Texas & Florida residents may consider this upgrade!

EV owners found talking to university students planted powerful seeds of awareness and possibility.

Shared environmental values between the Sierra Club, Unitarian members, Electric Vehicle owners, and the Chevy dealer resulted in a commitment to future activities and partnerships.
