Event Report
We teamed up with the largest Farmers Market in the county and ran an EV Showcase. Gaining access to a Farmers Market that normally has 2,500+ people each Saturday was great. This year, they had almost 2,900 that Sat, and our EV showcase was at the biggest entrance which means over 1,700 passed through our EV showcase. The showcase was inside the market and was limited (due to space) to 4 EVs (Model X, Model S, Nissan Leaf, and Chevy Volt). I also made sure to have a female owner/driver of an EV (Leaf) since the Farmers Market is shopped by more women than men and I wanted to make sure to connect with them. Advertising was done via 8.5/11" flyers at about 10 nearby coffee shops and green markets (1 week before) and the market itself (they sent out emails re: the event repeatedly). They had signage day of, and we posted our lawn signs throughout the market as well. The mayor came by and I gave him a test drive in a Model X and then he signed the ZEV petition. Total success.
