Event Report

We were in a Farmers Market and had a steady stream of people asking questions and looking at the vehicles. We could not give test drives because of our location. However, we were able to expose new people to electric vehicles. There were also several divers outside of the market who were able to talk to each other and there was an electric pedicab giving rides. The local newspaper, the Benicia Herald, also ran a front page article about the event and about driving electric.

Event Description

Electric vehicle drivers and enthusiasts will be at the Benicia Farmers Market to highlight the fun, clean-air benefits, and cost-savings of electric cars on Thursday, September 15.  The event is part of the fifth annual National Drive Electric Week.

Several cars and drivers will be at the Framers Market to showcase their cars and share their enthusiasm for driving electric.  They will answer questions based on their real life driving experiences.  Several cars will be available to look at and check out.

There will also be a showing of "Who Killed the Electric Car?"  at the Benicia Public Library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 14.
