Event Report
I didn't count how many cars signed up, both Tesla Clubs I belong to showed up, but many hadn't signed up. As Marta can tell you we were way too busy to count cars or rides.
We started on time, finished on time, had good attendance despite a regional huge music event and ComicCon happening downtown - those hurt us.
The politicians said good things about EVs, and as if to illustrate my point about clean/quiet electric commercial lawncare some jagoff fired up a leaf blower way down the block and it was loud enough to make it difficult to hear Janice Hahn even with a PA system. Elected officials tweeted their pix on the electric bus or my electric motorcycle. Volunteers and drivers posted their pix in our Tshirt on social media.
When I dropped by the little EV-ent in Watts the next day people were talking about the electric mower I gave away. Maybe that stuff'll inspire them to find my EV-ent wherever it is next year. Lots of people asked for it to be in OC or Cerritos.

Event Description
2016 National Drive Electric Week event is Saturday September 17, 10:00-1:00. Food trucks, shady park, lots of owners you can ask about their experiences with their EVs. We also display electric buses and 18 wheelers. Houghton Park, 6301 Myrtle Ave, Long Beach, CA 90805
This event is co-sponsored by Representative Alan Lowenthal, Congresswoman Janice Hahn, Senator Ricardo Lara, and Long Beach Councilmember Rex Richardson as well as the Sierra Club Long Beach Group,
Tesla Club LA, OC Tesla Club, BYD, Southern California Association of Electric Vehicles, AQMD, CARB, Audubon Society, Children’s Day, Pedego, Evergreene, AGZA, many neighborhood associations, the Long Beach Coalition for a Safe Environment and Long Beach Surfriders.
